Have you ever wanted to know what your favorite racehorse does on a day to day basis? Well recently Winstar Farm developed Stablemates.com, an awesome site that allows you to see Colonel John, Tiznow and other awesome horses. I am on summer break and lets be honest, summer break can be boring at times. eh?. To pass my time , I watched the training barn camera today because I heard it is interesting, and I was not disappointed!!
Today I saw horses being walked, and some horses were saddled and being ridden around the training barn arena, it was early in the morning so I was really tired so I do not know alot of specifics. I was getting bored because all I saw were horses walking around and around in a circle, kinda boring eh?. But then a young colt, I suppose it was a colt because of the size and stature, tried to throw his rider off. I began to ponder what the horse was thinking? was he angry, or was he just so excited to be ridden he just couldnt contain himself. Thoroughbred yearlings are interesting to see, and their behaviors can be very very unpredictable.
I also saw Colonel John, and it seemed he was having a lazy day. He spent his day asleep, and every once and awhile he would get up to drink, eat and stare out the window. Hes really cute

ReplyDeleteDid you sign up for membership? That is annoying also. Costs quite a lot. And you have to list your stable? Are they kidding? My 'stable' contains a couple of cars and its name is The Garage. Good grief! :))
